Our Process

Any home renovation is not a venture to take lightly. It’s an investment that requires time, patience, and many decisions. At Sugarbridge Kitchen & Bath, we understand there is no place like home, so we tailor our home design approach to accommodate individual needs. Our process has clearly defined steps that make remodeling your home less stressful.

Schedule a Design Consultation

A design consultation lets you meet our team and discuss your home design ideas. Whether you have a style that interests you or have begun thinking about the details, a consultation will help you combine the pieces to create an overview of how to go from concept to completion. Call (484) 318-8367 to book your consultation or use our contact page.

Meet Our Team

When you meet our team, there are some things you can do to prepare for a successful consultation:

  • Know your goals for the project: Is this a forever home you want to invest in, or do you want a more budget-friendly approach for a home you’ll sell in the future?

  • Have an idea of a budget you’re comfortable with: Our team will help you decide if it’s practical and how to move forward if your goals exceed that amount.

  • Be open and specific about your home remodeling needs: Let us know!

  • Gather examples of things you love: Pictures can help in the beginning stages determine what style or details you prefer. This can help us make suggestions that meet your preferences.

Custom Design

Custom design allows you to create interior spaces you love without making compromises. It can be challenging to fit your lifestyle into the mold of a home designed around someone else’s ideal. A custom home won’t leave you with wasted space and will have higher-quality materials than a standard one.

Site Survey

A site survey is an essential component when starting any project. This is when detailed measurements of the intended space are documented, notes are taken pertaining to original or current house molding profiles, and any details important for us to refer to during the design phase are accounted for. This is also when we take “before” pictures.

Floor Plans & Elevations

Floor plans are a diagram of your property from a bird’s eye view. A floor plan illustrates the layout of a space with structural and design details, such as walls, doors, stairs, fixed major appliances, and plumbing. Floor plans ensure everyone involved in your home remodeling project is on the same page. An elevation drawing is a two-dimensional view of one side of a structure. It highlights the height of physical features in relation to a fixed point, usually the natural ground level.

Material Selection

Too many options can quickly overwhelm you when choosing materials for your new home design. Our designers can make this process easier by eliminating materials that don’t meet the requirements for your preferred style, durability and maintenance preferences, and budget. Decreasing the number of options makes selecting materials much more straightforward.

Room Planning

There’s more to designing a room than choosing paint colors and furniture. Room planning considers several factors to make a space attractive and functional. Our designers will ask you how you will use the room and what ambiance you want. Room Planning can also make better use of existing space. Sometimes moving a doorway or window changes the whole flow of the room.

Custom Installation

Custom installation is an essential step of our process. We offer experienced craftsmen who are capable of handling our custom designs and who are up to date with all the requirements and specifications needed to install state of the art appliances, fixtures, etc.
